The Royal Hotel host sixth, sell out Gala Dinner
On Saturday 29 November the glamorous Royal Hotel hosted their sixth annual Gala Dinner, raising a massive £55,000 for the Isle of Wight Youth Trust equalling last year’s record breaking event and bringing the total raised since the first gala dinner in 2009 to well over £200,000.
This year’s event saw over 160 people heading to the award winning Royal Hotel, Ventnor, for fine dining and delicious wines all generously donated by The Royal Hotel and other local businesses. Wightlink generously sponsored an Isle of Wight Youth Trust unsung heroes table, which saw Youth Trust supporters past and present coming together to enjoy the glittering event. Wightlink very kindly donated a £50 voucher to each of the guests on their table.
The highlight of the Gala Dinner’s live auction was the opportunity to host an event at The Little Gloster for 100 people, with Youth Trust patron Rob da Bank DJ-ing, this money can’t buy item sold for over £10,000. Other items included in the auction were Twickenham Rugby Tickets, Vodka donated by Tipsy Wight as well as a stay at the prestigious Park Lane Hotel.
Eileen Monks OBE, Director of the Isle of Wight Youth Trust commented “Once again The Royal Hotel have pulled out all the stops, the food, drink and service were faultless. We cannot thank everyone enough for their generosity and on-going support – thank you”.
